On Saturday, July 25, the Port Washington VFW Henderson-Marino Post 1819 celebrated its 85th year at 29 Mohegan Ave. in Manhasset Isle. Members of the Port Washington community, as well as members of other VFW and American Legion posts, attended. The barbecue, ceremonies and music contributed to an enjoyable anniversary. Veterans from World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were in attendance.
