Roadway Keepers Honored

highwaysThe Port Washington Police District honored the Town of North Hempstead Highway Department for its hard work in keeping the town’s 300 miles of roadways in good repair and upkeep, especially during the recent snowstorms the area has seen.

Attending the ceremony are (l. to r.) Lieutenant Jeffrey Morris, Deputy Chief Brian Staley, Acting Chief James Salerno, Commissioner Angela Lawlor Mullins, Commissioner James Duncan, North Hempstead Highway Foreman Chuck Poole, North Hempstead Highway Superintendent Tom Tiernan, Town Councilwoman Dina De Giorgio, Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth, Port Washington Police Commissioner Wayne Franklin and Town Clerk Wayne Wink.
