Anyone interested in learning more about what the Crisis Relief Team (PWCRT) offers in times of crises to the Port Washington peninsula should attend this meeting. It will be held at the Port Washington Public Library’s Lapham Conference Room from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 3.

Aside from an overview on what the PWCRT does, a brief overview on events in which the team participated in 2015, new business and plans for 2016 will also be discussed. The evening’s guest speaker, Joel Ziev, will present, The Needs of Special Populations in a Crisis. Ziev will address how we can easily help our neighbors or family members who are elderly and/or have disabilities (e.g., hearing or vision impaired, wheelchair-bound) to be more well prepared in times of crises.

For information about the PWCRT, including possibly joining the more than 100 volunteers the team has signed on since its inception three years ago, visit www.pwcrisisrelief.org or email pwcrteam@gmail.com.
