Steven M. Schlussel of Port Washington passed away on June 16 at the age of 70. He was a practicing attorney for 45 years, and a community leader active in the American Israeli Political Action Committee, the General Council of Homeowners Associations of Port Washington of which he was founder and past president, the Morewood Oaks Homeowners Association of which he was past president and the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories. Mr. Schlussel is the son of the late Florence and Joseph Schlussel, and brother of the late Joyce Bangel. He is survived by his wife Eileen Schlussel, daughter Shannon Lieberman, granddaughter Lyla Lieberman, brother Kenneth Schlussel, step-daughter Stacy Layton and step-son Scott Layton.
