Patricia Ann Booth Lee, 91, passed away the evening of Oct. 31, at the Amsterdam at Harborside, where she was residing.

Mrs. Lee was born to Mabel (Lamoreux) and Arthur Booth on April 15, 1922, in Perth Amboy, NJ. She attended the University of North Carolina. In 1949, she married James A. Lee, of Port Washington, and resided in Port Washington for the rest of her life.

In 1967, she gained a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology at Queens College, and worked for 20 years with the Nassau County Health Department and the Visiting Nurses Association. Mrs. Lee was active in the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock for more than 50 years, serving on numerous committees, including the Veatch Board of Governors and Pastoral Care Associates.

She was a member of the League of Women Voters and the American Association of University Women. She believed in the necessity of volunteerism and participated in the Literacy Volunteers of America, managed the care of an elderly patients with dementia and was a docent at Gold Coast Mansion, Falaise, to mention a few of her contributions.

Preceded in death by her parents, a younger brother, Robert, and her husband, she is survived by two sons, David (Joanna) Lee and Richard (Mary Ellen) Lee, one daughter, Deborah Lee, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She also leaves two nephews, Edward Bixler and Robert Booth, and one niece, Carol Booth. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
