Pool062916ABreaking News: In a brief note sent Friday, Aug. 12 at 2 p.m., from the communications department of the Town of North Hempstead a comprise has been hashed out between the camps and Manorhaven pool for use of the facilities.

According to Rebecca Cheng “We just wanted to let you know that the local camps were not banned from using the pool. A compromised was worked out that balanced the needs of the camps with the needs of the community. This included allowing day camps to use the pool from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. when the pool is closed to the public. In addition to the alternatives of Whitney Pond Pool and North Hempstead Beach Park.”

Thankfully, this compromise comes at a time when the worst of the summer heat has hit.
