Cinema on the Bay has become a favorite summer tradition enjoyed for years by residents and visitors to Port Washington’s Sunset Park. What could be better and more idyllic than bringing lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic dinner (or better yet, ordering take out) to a park along the water on a summer evening? Doing it with family and friends, capped off with a movie the entire family will enjoy.

Presented by Residents For a More Beautiful Port Washington and the Town of North Hempstead, this year’s lineup of movies is for audiences of all ages.

The schedule of movies is:

Rocky III – June 20 at 8:30 p.m.

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day – July 11 at 8:30 p.m.

Pitch Perfect – July 25 at 8 p.m.

Frozen – August 8 at 8 p.m.

The Cinema on the Bay sponsors include Town of North Hempstead, Judi Bosworth, Supervisor; Cow Bay Contracting; Dan Donatelli, Attorney at Law; Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty; The Peter & Jeri Dejana Family Foundation; Gold Coast Chiropractic; La Motta’s Waterside Restaurant; LaCorte Family Auto Repair; Senator Jack Martins; Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton; The Rimmer Family; and The Shain Family. The Port Washington Water Pollution Control District and the John Phillip Sousa Memorial Band Shell assist in making this a summer highlight.
