The community is rallying for the victims of last week’s early morning fire that sank one houseboat and damaged five others.
A fundraiser will be held at the Polish American Hall Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. Admission will be $25, with all proceeds going to the victims.
Music that evening will feature Alter Ego, Ricky Roche, John Ford of the Strawbs, “Killer” Joe Ferror, Mike Nugent, Mark Mancini, Felix Cabrera and others. Information can be found on the Facebook page “Help the Haven Houseboaters.”

George Martin and his wife Pia Haselbach, lost their home, their four cats and all their possessions in the devastating fire aboard their houseboat. And Jennifer Baptiste, who had the houseboat next to Martin and Haselbach, is also without a home.
