A recent letter expressed, in detail, a negative experience with the Port Washington Diner. My family is there quite frequently and our repeat business is an endorsement of their neighborhood ambiance, full menu and good food. During our visits we have both experienced and observed the courtesy and friendliness of the entire staff. Since customer service reviews tend to be written by those energized by negatives, as opposed to those content with positives, I wanted to correct the impression that the previous writer had left and suggest that it may have been an aberration.
By coincidence, we also dined there with a cousin who has Parkinson’s. She opted to turn the mug around, but she often uses a straw.
