Senator Martins, Community Chest Honored


theatreSen. Jack Martins and the Community Chest of Washington will be will honored by the Cow Bay Theatre Company at a gala reception on April 11 at the Jeanne Rimsky Theater at the Landmark on Main Street.

The reception, at 6:45 p.m, will precede the opening performance of Neil Simon’s Broadway hit, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, at 8:15 p.m.

Port Washington budding star Jake Glickman, pianist and singer, will be a feature of the reception. A number of local dignitaries and public officials are expected to attend, a spokesman said.

“We’re especially pleased to present Sen. Martins with our Spotlight Award,” said Elizabeth Kott, vice president of the Cow Bay Theatre.
