Henry was born in Bremen, Germany, graduated high school and spent one year in university in Germany before moving to the United States, to Savannah, GA. He found his way to Port Washington where he studied mechanics, working for Lewis Oil for over 25 years and where he met his beloved wife Jane. Henry opened his own heating and air conditioning company in 1986. He was also the founder and president of the Port Washington Junior Soccer Club for seven years and was “Coach” to hundreds of children where he shared his treasured sport of “football.” Henry loved and cherished his son and grandchildren, sharing his German heritage and traditions. A small memorial will be held later this year to celebrate and honor Henry. For those wishing to recognize Henry, the family asks that you donate to your local community youth sports organization.
