FedEx Shooting In Georgia, 6 Injured


An employee at a FedEx facility in Atlanta, Georgia opened fire in the facility early Tuesday morning, injuring six people before turning the gun on himself.

The gunman, a baggage handler for FedEx, went through security as he arrived at work, reportedly shooting one security guard, with one of two guns in his possession, according to WXIA-TV.

One of the victims is in critical condition. Police found the suspect, whose name has not yet been released, dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound near the loading dock.

FedEx has released the following statement:

“FedEx is aware of the situation. Our primary concern is the safety and wellbeing of our team members, first responders and others affected. FedEx is cooperating with authorities.”
